A major area of emphasis for the Northlake Mandeville Rotary Club is in the area of Mental Health. St. Tammany Parish has one of the highest suicide rates in the state and is approximately 18% above the state average. One of our club projects is the support of STOPS (St Tammany Outreach for Prevention of Suicide). Our club annually makes a donation to STOPS and also helps raise money for them through their One Step at a Time 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk, which was held this year on September 30 at the Abita Springs Trailhead.
